The auto clicker mod turns any mob farm into a hands-free XP machine. These ten tips will make your AFK sessions safer and more productive.
1. Disable pause on lost focus
Press F3 + P. Otherwise Minecraft opens the pause menu as soon as you click another window.
2. Make yourself untouchable
Use a bottom slab or trapdoor so mobs' heads are below your hitbox. You can reach them, they can't reach you.
3. Light up around the farm
Stray mobs spawning near you can push you, attack you or drag your crosshair away from the kill zone.
4. Use one-hit kills
Drop mobs from the right height so they arrive with low health. One full-charge swing then kills them instantly.
5. Use Mending
With Mending on your sword, the farm's XP repairs the sword as you play. It can run for a very long time.
6. Plan your storage
A long AFK session produces lots of bones, arrows and rotten flesh. Use hoppers into several double chests, or add item filters.
7. Reduce render distance
Lower render distance and simulation distance to cut lag and keep your PC cool while AFK.
8. Don't sprint
The mod pauses while sprinting because sprinting cancels the sweep attack. Just stand still.
9. Pick the right farm
- Zombie/skeleton spawner farms – easy early-game XP.
- Enderman farms in the End – huge XP rates.
- General mob farms – gunpowder, string, bones and arrows.
10. Keep it single-player
Use the mod in your own worlds or on servers that explicitly allow it. Read our safety post for details.
