Installed the auto clicker mod but nothing happens, or the game crashes? Work through these fixes in order — one of them solves almost every problem.
1. You launched the wrong profile
In the Minecraft Launcher, choose the fabric-loader installation, not "Latest release". Vanilla doesn't load mods.
2. Wrong Minecraft version
The current file (autoclicker263-1.0.0.jar) is for 26.3. On another version it may crash or be rejected. Check the version shown in the bottom-left of the title screen.
3. Wrong mod loader
This is a Fabric mod. It won't work on Forge, NeoForge or in Bedrock. See our Forge post.
4. Missing dependency
Read the crash message. If it mentions fabric-api or another missing mod, download that from CurseForge and add it to the mods folder.
5. The file is in the wrong place
The .jar must sit directly in .minecraft/mods — not in a sub-folder and not unzipped. If you use the CurseForge app or Prism, each instance has its own mods folder.
6. Pressing G does nothing
- Make sure you're not typing in chat.
- Another mod may use G. Open Options → Controls → Key Binds and look for conflicts shown in red.
- Remember: the mod only swings when a mob is under your crosshair.
7. It stops attacking
You're probably sprinting (the mod pauses on purpose) or the mobs moved out of view. Re-aim at the kill zone.
8. Still stuck?
Remove all other mods and test the auto clicker mod alone. If it works, add the others back one by one to find the conflict. You can also report the issue in the mod's comments on CurseForge with your crash log.
Go back to the full installation guide to double-check each step.
