Auto Clicker Mod Hotkey, Click Speed and Cooldown Explained

Many players expect an auto clicker to click as fast as possible. The auto clicker mod does the opposite — and that's exactly why it's good. Let's explain the hotkey, the click speed and the cooldown.

The G hotkey

Press G to start auto attacking and press it again to stop. There's no menu to open, so you can switch instantly. If another mod uses G, check Options → Controls → Key Binds for conflicts.

What is attack cooldown?

Since Minecraft 1.9, each weapon has an attack speed. After you swing, the attack indicator refills. If you attack before it's full, the hit does reduced damage. A sword has an attack speed of 1.6, so it needs about 0.625 seconds to recharge fully.

Why the mod uses about 0.65 seconds

The mod attacks every ~0.65 seconds by default — just above the sword's recharge time. That guarantees a full-strength hit every swing. And only a full-strength hit while standing still (or walking, not sprinting) triggers a sweep attack, which damages the other mobs next to your target.

More CPS ≠ more damage

20Very lowNo

Clicking 20 times per second in modern Minecraft actually makes you weaker against groups of mobs.

Smart targeting

The mod also checks if there's an entity under your crosshair before swinging. No mob, no swing — so it doesn't waste durability or spam the air.

Sprint detection

Sprinting cancels the sweep attack, so the mod pauses while you sprint. Stand still at your farm for best results.
